![]() I bought the Pro version for my iPhone and I use it to access the (Windows Server 2019) file server at work, but it also supports several cloud services (OwnCloud/NextCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box), NAS devices (TrueNAS, Time Capsule, WD NAS, Redfish), and other traditional protocols (SFTP, WebDAV, NFS). Honestly the only truly trustworthy system would be something like Syncthing or Rclone running on a server you physically own, but there's a ton of work involved in setting it up and maintaining it, and if you're used to the simplicity of Dropbox/Drive/iCloud it might be a non-starter.Įdit: I forgot to mention, if you do set up your own storage server, there's an app for Android and iOS called "FE File Explorer" that makes it easy to access remote file systems. I did use Box.com for a while several years ago when they had a 50GB free account promo, but they also suffered from a clunky interface back then. dropbox sends 'the specific files' (based on what criteria dunno) to a 3rd party (currently OpenAI which uses an LLM trained on previous data, not yours to try and answer your query. However, thats not where the controversy ends. How to use Dropbox AI in a file preview You can use Dropbox AI when you preview text-based, audio, or video files. I don't trust Google but they have a good interface for Drive, the others could learn from them. Dropbox AI FAQ page also states that customer data is not shared with third-party services while using the AI search feature.
